  2. Your course plan is prepared.Outstanding requirements, your English proficiency and your academic readiness are considered together.
  3. You graduate when the plan is complete.Accepted credits and Academy courses fulfill the diploma requirements.

        Dear families,

The dual diploma is a journey in which students take responsibility for their own learning. But they are not alone: they know whom to contact when they need help, and you can follow their progress.

We handle communication in Türkiye throughout enrollment and follow-up, guiding you step by step.

Bringing the student’s official course and grade records and information about their English proficiency (at least WIDA level 4 is expected) to the meeting helps move the process along. We will also discuss how much time you can set aside each week.

        Nine questions on your mind.

Do I need to leave my school in Türkiye?

No. You take the dual diploma program while continuing at your own high school. Your local courses and Academy courses are considered together in your individual graduation plan.

Are classes held live at a fixed time?

The main format is asynchronous learning on a weekly schedule. You plan your daily study hours; assignments have deadlines. Live additional help and office hours are also offered.

Will I have to earn all 22 credits again?

No. Your official transcript is reviewed, and credits from eligible courses are transferred. At least 5.5 credits must be completed at the Academy for the dual diploma.

How long will it take to complete the program?

The duration depends on your grade level when you start, the local credits accepted, and the courses you will take. It is finalized in your individual course plan.

What English level do I need?

Courses are taught in English. At least WIDA level 4 proficiency is expected for participation; your English readiness is assessed during the application process.

Can every student take AP courses?

AP course selection depends on academic readiness and course prerequisites. Some courses require prior subject knowledge, and courses are selected accordingly.

Does an AP course count toward college credit?

Course performance and AP exam results are assessed separately. The university you apply to determines whether an exam score qualifies for credit or an exemption.

        How is my GPA calculated?

Your GPA includes courses completed at the Academy; transfer credits count toward graduation but are not included in your cumulative GPA. For weighted GPA, Honors courses receive an additional 0.5 points and AP courses an additional 1.0 points.

How can parents see their child’s progress?

Grades and coursework can be monitored through the student information system and academic progress reports. Communication with teachers and coordinators supports the process.

        Imagine that day together.

A good start comes from understanding where the student is today and what they hope to achieve. Let’s plan together which courses you will take and how to fit the program into your life.
